Terms of Service.
Last updated: April 2026. By using this website and any associated services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Services
I provide software development and consulting services as described on the services page. All engagements are conducted on a month-to-month basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. Specific deliverables, timelines, and scope are defined per engagement.
Communication
All communication is asynchronous by default—via email or the collaboration tools agreed upon for the engagement. Response times depend on the selected plan and are specified at the start of each engagement.
Intellectual property
I retain legal ownership and all intellectual property rights in the work produced during an engagement. Upon full payment, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use, modify, and distribute the code, documentation, and other deliverables provided to you. This licence cannot be revoked. Pre-existing tools, libraries, and methodologies remain my sole property. Open-source contributions or public content on this site are governed by their respective licences.
Payment
Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are payable within 14 days. Late payments may result in pausing work until the account is brought current. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis for unused portions of the billing cycle.
Limitation of liability
Services are provided as-is to the best of professional ability. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or any services rendered. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the current billing period.
Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with 7 days' written notice. Upon termination, any outstanding work in progress will be handed off in its current state. Pre-paid fees for the current period are not refunded except at my discretion.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal remedies.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The latest version is always available at this URL.
